Fry Legal Talks: Bold, Fast, and Unfiltered Ideas to Shake Up the Legal Industry
Let’s face it: the legal industry doesn’t exactly have a reputation for bold, fast-moving ideas, and most legal conferences are stultifyingly boring.
And that’s where ️Fry Legal Talks comes in.
Inspired by PechaKucha and Ignite talks, ️Fry Legal Talks are dynamic, high-energy presentations designed for sharp insights and big ideas. They’re fast-paced, slide-driven, five-minute presentations of 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds, and you hang on for dear life. They’re equally terrifying and exhilarating, like practicing law or discovering you’ve missed phone calls.
What we’re after:
We’re looking for creative, insightful, irreverent, and rebellious takes on legal marketing, technology, and the profession. We want to put you on stage if you’ve got a hot take on AI ethics, a killer TikTok client intake funnel, or a passionate defense of Comic Sans in legal branding:
- Innovative approaches to legal marketing that go well beyond the tried and true gavels, scales of justice, and imagery of middle-aged, balding, white men in suits.
- Unconventional uses of technology in practice or client service
- Honest (and maybe humorous) war stories with a takeaway
- Predictions, provocations, and bold visions for where this industry is headed
We want to hear whether your idea is fully formed or still in the “half-baked but interesting” stage.
Who should apply?
Whether you’re a seasoned stage stalker or a conference newbie with something to say (and the guts to say it fast), we want your pitch.
We’re especially eager to hear from voices that aren’t usually handed the mic: legal ops folks, technologists, behind-the-scenes marketers, or law students with something spicy to say.
What we’re not looking for:
- Thinly veiled product demos – we’ll hit the eject button if you want to pitch the 27 features of your AI-Powered SAAS product.
- Buzzword bingo (looking at you, “synergy-driven disruption optimization”)
- Anything that sounds like it could’ve been written by a committee of risk-averse partners
- Pitches including the acronym ROI will immediately be discarded, your Summit registration will be rescinded without refund, and we’ll make fun of you on the next pod.
But if your talk makes people think, laugh, question, or rethink how they work, it belongs on this stage.
